1. Grass

When your kids get involved in school sports, be prepared to deal with grass stains! Apply a pre-wash stain removal agent to the area and let it sit for about 15 minutes. Next, use a toothbrush to press the cleaner into the stain. Then, wash it with similar fabrics.

2. Pencil
For pencil stains, simply use a clean eraser rubbing back and forth lightly. Then, apply liquid detergent or some ammonia, mixing one part ammonia to five parts water. Rinse and machine wash.

3. Permanent Marker
Fortunately permanent marker isn't as permanent as you'd think! Place the cloth stain-down on clean paper towels. Blot some rubbing around the stain, and then directly to the stain itself. Keep dabbing the stain, and change out the paper towels frequently. This should transfer as much ink as possible to the paper towels. Finally, rinse and launder!

4. Crayon
Crayon stains are pretty easy to get rid of. Coat the stain with some liquid detergent and let it sit overnight. Then, throw it in the washer with the rest of your laundry.

5. Ink
For ink, apply solvent or alcohol directly on the stain using a paper towel or cloth. With a clean cloth, dab until you don't see any more. Rinse of the solvent, rub with liquid detergent, and wash in hot water.
